The Director of Programming will be responsible for overseeing and managing the content strategy, scheduling, and development of House of Mercy Christian Assembly’s (HMCA) television and digital media programming. This individual will ensure that all broadcasts align with the church’s mission, engaging and inspiring audiences through faith-based content while maintaining high production standards.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
• Programme Development and Content Strategy
o Design, plan, and oversee a diverse range of Christian programming, including sermons, talk shows, interviews, and special features.
o Ensure all content is biblically sound, engaging, and aligned with HMCA’s vision.
o Collaborate with church leadership and media teams to create meaningful and impactful faith-based content.
• Broadcast Scheduling and Management
o Develop a structured programme schedule for live and pre-recorded broadcasts.
o Ensure smooth transitions between different programmes and maintain consistency in programming.
o Work with production teams to coordinate recording sessions and live events.
• Quality Control and Audience Engagement
o Monitor programme quality and content delivery to ensure high production values.
o Evaluate audience feedback and analytics to improve programming effectiveness.
o Develop innovative approaches to enhance viewer engagement and reach wider audiences.
• Collaboration with Production and Technical Teams
o Work closely with producers, editors, presenters, and technical staff to deliver high-quality broadcasts.
o Coordinate with scriptwriters and creative teams to refine and structure programme content.
o Ensure all programmes are produced efficiently, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
• Special Projects and Outreach Initiatives
o Oversee the planning and execution of special projects, including live church services, fundraising events, and outreach campaigns.
o Introduce new content formats, such as documentaries, testimonies, and worship specials, to broaden programming appeal.
o Support partnerships with external Christian media networks and broadcasters.

Qualifications & Skills
• Proven experience in television programming, media production, or Christian broadcasting.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Christian teachings and faith-based content creation.
• Ability to develop compelling and engaging programme formats.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with production teams, church leadership, and external partners.
• Understanding of media analytics and audience engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of digital broadcasting, social media integration, and content repurposing.
