Job Description
The Evangelism and Outreach Minister at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is a key spiritual leader responsible for advancing the church’s mission through dynamic evangelistic and outreach initiatives. This role combines preaching, planning, digital engagement, and community mobilisation to share the Gospel and minister to the spiritual and practical needs of the local community.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Plan and Lead Worship and Ministry Activities:
Lead weekly worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, and regular outreach programmes to spiritually nurture the congregation and engage the community. - Develop Evangelistic Materials:
Create effective resources—tracts, flyers, digital content, and multimedia tools—to support the church’s outreach and evangelism efforts. - Engage with the Local Community:
Build and sustain meaningful relationships with individuals and groups in the community, providing spiritual support, prayer, and guidance. - Coordinate Street Evangelism Efforts:
Strategically organise and lead street evangelism activities, ensuring maximum impact, including weekly outreach at Stratford Station and other locations. - Train and Equip Church Members:
Facilitate workshops and discipleship classes to empower members in personal evangelism and participation in outreach ministries. - Organise Special Outreach Events:
Plan and execute impactful events such as revival meetings, prayer walks, community clean-up days, and charity drives. - Deliver Biblical Teachings and Sermons:
Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity and conviction to encourage faith development and discipleship. - Establish Partnerships:
Work alongside local organisations, charities, and mission groups to collaborate and extend outreach reach and effectiveness. - Monitor and Evaluate Outreach Programs:
Track and assess the success of outreach efforts, gathering feedback and making improvements where necessary.
Supporting Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Utilise Digital Platforms:
Stream sermons, outreach updates, and inspirational content via social media and church platforms to reach broader audiences. - Oversee Media Production:
Supervise the recording and editing of church services, Bible teachings, and evangelistic content. - Manage Social Media Presence:
Maintain active and engaging content across platforms to reflect the ministry’s message and activities. - Coordinate Volunteer Teams:
Train and guide volunteers in using digital tools and platforms to support outreach and church communication.

Work Schedule:
This is a ministry-based role requiring flexibility, including:
- Weekly services and prayer meetings
- Saturday and weekday evangelism activities
- Outreach events and digital media production
- Office hours and planning time as scheduled
