The TV Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production and broadcasting of House of Mercy Christian Assembly’s (HMCA) television programmes. This individual will play a vital role in managing the production team, coordinating technical aspects, and ensuring high-quality faith-based content that aligns with the church’s vision and outreach mission.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
• Oversee TV Production Operations
o Manage all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production processes.
o Supervise the production team, including camera operators, editors, sound engineers, and other crew members.
o Ensure all content aligns with HMCA’s core values and faith-based messaging.
• Manage Live and Recorded Broadcasts
o Oversee the technical execution of live church services, special events, and pre-recorded programmes.
o Ensure a smooth and professional broadcasting experience, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
o Work with presenters, preachers, and guest speakers to coordinate seamless productions.
• Content Planning and Coordination
o Develop a structured production schedule for regular and special programming.
o Collaborate with ministry leaders, scriptwriters, and creative teams to create compelling content.
o Plan and direct interviews, discussions, and testimonies to engage and inspire viewers.
• Budgeting and Resource Management
o Manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
o Procure and maintain equipment, ensuring all production tools are in optimal working condition.
o Identify and implement improvements to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Supporting Responsibilities and Tasks
• Team Leadership and Training
o Recruit, train, and mentor production staff and volunteers.
o Assign roles and responsibilities within the production team.
o Ensure all team members adhere to best practices for media production and broadcasting.
• Technical Oversight and Quality Control
o Ensure high standards of video, audio, and lighting quality in all productions.
o Stay updated with the latest broadcasting technologies and techniques.
o Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions efficiently.
• Collaboration with Digital and Social Media Teams
o Work with digital outreach teams to optimise TV content for online platforms.
o Assist in repurposing TV programmes for social media and digital distribution.
o Support the church’s media ministry by ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
