About This Role

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a general business manager for House of Mercy Christian Assemblyand is responsible for all financial, accounting, real estate, contracted benefits, and risk management activities. The CFO i s responsible for advising and supporting the Lead Pastor, Executive Pastor, Campus Lead Pastors, operational executives and the Elder Board from a fiscal leadership perspective and has the opportunity to influence strategy and be involved in non- traditional activities, such as property development and acquisition.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Chief Financial Officer

Ensure the financial budgets are in line with the vision, values, and annual goals of Cross City Church. Ensure ministries have the financial resources they need to effectively run their ministry.

Serve as the primary driver for coordinating and getting approval on all church budgets.

Manage the funds of the church to assure fiscal responsibility, balancing socially responsible investment with maximum return, and providing timely information and financial recommendations.

Manage all cash flow/liquidity needs and forecasting.

Direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.

Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting;

Account for and manage the day-to-day finances of the church, coordinating the maintenance of all accounts,

ledgers, balance sheets, income and disbursements.

Coordinate all uses of facilities, building leases, and rental contracts, maximizing usage while balancing income with community use.

Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials.

Coordinate audits and proper filings to ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. Prepare and communicate monthly and annual financial statements.

Your Team

 This position reports to the Executive Pastor.

This position relates to the leadership team and supervises two full-time finance team staff members.

 This is a full-time, salaried position around 40 hours a week, with four days spent in the office and one day of flexible

working location.
