About This Role
 The primary role of the Communications Coordinator is to tell the stories of House of Mercy Christian Assembly through various forms of media and assist in the development of effective church-wide communication. The Communications Coordinator oversees and helps facilitate an effective, comprehensive, and consistent communications strategy and manages the church’s website, social media presence, and production/distribution of print materials.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the Communications Coordinator
- Oversee the design, development, and production of printed and digital materials/media including weekly bulletins, brochures, posters, signs, social media, weekend service slides,
- Provide quality control checks for communication produced by all ministry
- Perform regular comb-throughs of the church website for outdated/inaccurate information, broken links,
- Collaborate with ministry directors to update and maintain accurate website
- Coordinate all communications with the Communications Director, Production Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant to ensure consistent messaging across weekly bulletins, the website, emails, and
- Compose copy and provide edits for all communications to ensure an accurate presentation of all graphic/editorial work and adherence to AP Style and the House of Mercy Christian Assemblys tyle
- Coordinate a timely and accurate print production process with outside
Ensure weekend service audio/video/graphics are produced, in place, and correct in ProPresenter.

Your Team
 This position reports to the Communications Director.
This position works closely with a staff Graphic Designer and Communications Project Manager.
Key Performance Indicators
 The strategy of the ministries that the Communications Coordinator leads reflects the overall growth strategy of
the church:
- Develop disciples and
- Serve, engage and invite the
- Grow City Groups who help others grow in
The Communications Coordinator will be evaluated on the following three metrics:
- Build a volunteer team of three
Identify and develop volunteers to serve on the Communications team through social media, writing/ editing, and/or graphic design.
- Grow social media followers from 400 to 500 by July
Create and implement a social media strategy that drives engagement and increases followers.
- Ensure the weekly bulletin in on time and error
Assist in the development of a process and checklist for the timely design, sending, printing, and receiving of the weekly bulletin.

Your Schedule
 This is a full-time, salaried position around 40 hours a week with four days spent in the office and one day of flexible
working location.
