About This Role
The Associate Pastor at House of Mercy Christian Assembly serves a vital role in providing pastoral care, leading church services, and supporting ministry operations. This position requires a dedicated and spiritually grounded individual who will assist in shepherding the congregation, supporting the senior leadership, and ensuring the smooth execution of church programs.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
- Provide Pastoral Care to church members, offering spiritual guidance, counseling, and prayer support.
- Lead Church Services, including Sunday worship, Bible study sessions, and special church events.
- Support Ministry Operations by working closely with the Senior Pastor and church leadership.
- Preach and Teach biblical principles, delivering sermons and leading discipleship programs.
- Oversee Small Groups and Ministries, ensuring their growth and alignment with the church’s mission.
- Encourage Community Outreach, engaging with the local community to expand the church’s impact.
- Provide Leadership and Support for volunteers, ministry leaders, and staff members.
- Assist in Event Planning and Coordination for church functions, conferences, and retreats.
- Offer Crisis Support for church members dealing with personal and spiritual challenges.
- Participate in Administrative Duties, such as planning meetings and contributing to church reports.

Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Senior Pastor and collaborates with the church leadership team.
Personal Responsibilities
While not directly related to the job role, every staff member at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is expected to:
- Maintain God-ordained priorities by putting Jesus Christ first, family second, and ministry third.
- Give at least 10% of income toward the mission and vision of House of Mercy Christian Assembly.
- Be loyal to the vision and staff of House of Mercy Christian Assembly and protect the unity of the church.
- Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude in all interactions with the congregation, staff, and volunteers.
- Invest and invite others to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and participate in House of Mercy Christian Assembly programs.
Your Schedule
This is a full-time, salaried position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The work schedule includes weekday pastoral duties, Sunday services, and flexibility for special events, ministry needs, and emergencies.
