Building Strong, God-Centered Marriages

Support for Families in Faith

House of Mercy Christian Assembly is dedicated to increasing awareness of the needs within our families and offering resources to support, empower, and guide them. The Family Ministries Council is a collaborative initiative that unites Youth Ministries, Women's Ministries, Men's Ministries, Children's Ministries, and the Office of Education and Endorsement. Our mission is to synchronize the efforts of these specialised ministries to serve children, youth, women, and men, ensuring a comprehensive approach to strengthening families.
The Church Family Ministry exists to strengthen and support families by providing biblical guidance, fellowship, and resources that nurture spiritual growth. We believe that families are the foundation of a strong church and a thriving community.

Marriage Counseling

Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are called to "love your wives, just as Christ loved the church," while wives are encouraged to "submit to your own husbands as you do to the Lord" (Ephesians 5:22). Church marriage counseling helps couples build a relationship grounded in love, faith, and biblical truth. The Church Family Ministry exists to strengthen and support families by providing biblical guidance, fellowship, and resources that nurture spiritual growth. Biblical Foundation for Marriage

Marriage is more than just a partnership—it is a divine institution.

  • Genesis 2:24 – “A man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
  • 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 – Love is patient, kind, and enduring.
  • Ecclesiastes 4:12 – “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

A strong marriage is built on faith in God, love, and mutual respect.

Communication and Conflict Resolution

Poor communication is one of the leading causes of marital problems. The Bible teaches us to speak with love and listen with understanding.

  • James 1:19 – “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.”
  • Proverbs 15:1 – “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”

Tips for Healthy Communication:

✅ Listen actively before responding.
✅ Speak with kindness and avoid harsh words.
✅ Pray together when facing disagreements

Keeping Christ at the Center

A Christ-centered marriage stands firm through trials.

  • Matthew 6:33 – “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you.”
  • Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
