Children are the church of today

Community engagement for kids, teens, and families

Support for engaging children, young people and families

We believe that children are not only the future of the church but a vital part of its present. At House of Mercy Christian Assembly’s, families, children, and youth play an essential role in our community and worship. We strive to create a church where young people actively participate in our shared worship experience. Children of all ages are warmly welcomed in our services. We recognise that little ones can be expressive, and that’s perfectly okay. Jesus himself was not a quiet baby, and we embrace every member of our faith community, regardless of age or ability to remain silent. We understand that services may feel long for young children. If your child becomes unsettled, you are welcome to move to the back of the church or utilize the designated room for their comfort.

We fully support breastfeeding in our services and also have a dedicated room available for those who prefer privacy.

For parents and carers with babies or preschool-aged children, we provide a designated space equipped with toys and worship activities, should you wish to use it during the service. Children’s church sessions are held during the service on alternate weeks for primary school-aged children, and a youth group meets once a month after the service. Children’s Church

Children’s church takes place during the 10am worship services for children of primary school age. Led by our growing children and youth ministry team, the children’s church explores together the stories of God who loves us and what that means for our day to day lives through stories, crafts, games, and other activities

Baptism and Confirmation

We offer baptism (sometimes called Christening) for babies, children, and adults.
