Position: Full-Time, Salaried
About This Role
The Youth Ministry Leader at House of Mercy Christian Assembly plays a vital role in mentoring and supporting young church members, organising youth events, and developing impactful youth programs. This position requires a passionate and spiritually mature individual who is dedicated to guiding young people in their faith journey and fostering a sense of community within the church.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
- Mentor and Support Young Church Members, providing spiritual guidance, encouragement, and biblical teaching.
- Organize and Lead Youth Events, including retreats, conferences, mission trips, and social gatherings.
- Develop and Implement Youth Programs that align with the church’s vision, focusing on discipleship, leadership, and spiritual growth.
- Lead Weekly Youth Services and Bible Studies, creating an engaging and relevant environment for young members.
- Engage with Parents and Church Leadership to ensure holistic support for youth members.
- Encourage Youth Participation in Church Activities, fostering their involvement in worship, outreach, and service opportunities.
- Train and Equip Youth Leaders and Volunteers, empowering them to take active roles in ministry.
- Coordinate Outreach Programs to engage young people in community service and evangelism efforts.
- Provide Pastoral Care and Counseling to address spiritual, emotional, and social challenges among the youth.
- Utilise Social Media and Digital Platforms to connect with and inspire young church members.
Strengths & Skillset
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Passion for youth ministry and discipleship.
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate youth programs.
- Experience in event planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of biblical teachings and Christian discipleship.
- Comfortable using social media and digital tools for ministry outreach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership, volunteers, and parents.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Senior Pastor and collaborates with the Worship and Communications teams.
Personal Responsibilities
While not directly related to the job role, every staff member at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is expected to:
- Maintain God-ordained priorities by putting Jesus Christ first, family second, and ministry third.
- Give at least 10% of income toward the mission and vision of House of Mercy Christian Assembly.
- Be loyal to the vision and staff of House of Mercy Christian Assembly and protect the unity of the church.
- Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude in all interactions with the congregation, staff, and volunteers.
- Invest and invite others to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and participate in House of Mercy Christian Assembly programs.
Your Schedule
This is a full-time, salaried position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. The schedule includes weekday youth activities, Sunday services, and flexibility for special events and ministry needs.
