Job Description

The Evangelism and Outreach Minister will be responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating evangelism and outreach efforts to spread the gospel, engage the community, and support the church’s mission. This individual will play a key role in equipping church members for evangelistic activities and ensuring strategic and impactful outreach initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

Plan and Lead Worship and Outreach Programmes – Organise and lead weekly worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, and community outreach programmes, including evangelistic campaigns and local missions.
Develop Evangelistic Materials – Create and distribute tracts, flyers, and digital content to support outreach initiatives.
Engage with the Local Community – Build meaningful relationships within the community, providing spiritual support and guidance.
Coordinate Street Evangelism Efforts – Plan and execute street evangelism initiatives, ensuring they are strategically impactful.
Train and Equip Church Members – Provide training for church members to actively engage in evangelism and outreach activities.
Organise Special Outreach Events – Plan and oversee special events such as revival meetings, prayer walks, and charity drives.
Deliver Sermons and Teachings – Preach and teach to nurture the spiritual growth of the congregation.
Establish Partnerships – Collaborate with local organisations, charities, and mission groups to enhance outreach effectiveness.
Monitor and Evaluate Outreach Programmes – Assess outreach activities to measure their impact and effectiveness, making improvements as needed.

Supporting Responsibilities and Tasks

Utilise Digital Platforms – Leverage online platforms to broadcast sermons and expand outreach efforts.
Oversee Production of Recordings – Manage the recording and distribution of services and inspirational messages.
Manage Social Media – Oversee church social media accounts to share religious updates and engage with the community.
Coordinate Volunteers – Organise and train volunteers to use digital tools effectively for ministry support.

Qualifications & Skills

A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for evangelism.
Proven experience in ministry leadership, evangelism, or community outreach.
Strong organisational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work with diverse groups and build community relationships.
Proficiency in digital tools and social media for ministry purposes.

Work Conditions

The position may require evening and weekend commitments for services, outreach programmes, and special events.
Involves both indoor and outdoor ministry work, including street evangelism and community service.
Requires travel within the local area to engage with the community and partner organisations.
