<p><strong>About This Role</strong></p>
<p>The <strong>Prayer &amp; Intercession Leader</strong> at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is responsible for organising prayer meetings, mentoring prayer groups, and providing spiritual guidance to the congregation. This position requires a devoted and spiritually mature individual with a strong passion for intercession and a commitment to leading others in deepening their prayer lives.</p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities and Tasks</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Organise and Lead Prayer Meetings</strong>, including corporate prayer sessions, overnight vigils, and intercessory gatherings.</li>
<li><strong>Mentor and Guide Prayer Groups</strong>, equipping members with biblical principles of prayer and intercession.</li>
<li><strong>Provide Spiritual Guidance and Pastoral Support</strong> to individuals and teams in need of encouragement and counselling.</li>
<li><strong>Develop and Implement Prayer Strategies</strong> that align with the vision and mission of the church.</li>
<li><strong>Encourage and Train Church Members</strong> in intercessory prayer, helping them grow in faith and spiritual discipline.</li>
<li><strong>Coordinate Prayer Chains and Special Prayer Initiatives</strong>, ensuring continuous spiritual covering over church activities and members.</li>
<li><strong>Engage with the Leadership Team</strong> to integrate prayer into all church ministries and activities.</li>
<li><strong>Foster a Culture of Prayer and Spiritual Sensitivity</strong>, encouraging a deeper connection with God.</li>
<li><strong>Monitor and Evaluate the Impact of Prayer Programmes</strong>, making adjustments as necessary for greater effectiveness.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborate with Other Ministry Leaders</strong> to support church events and outreach efforts through prayer.</li>

<p><strong>Reporting Structure</strong></p>
<p>This position reports to the <strong>Senior Pastor</strong> and works closely with the pastoral team and other ministry leaders.</p>
<p><strong>Personal Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>While not directly related to the job role, every staff member at House of Mercy Christian Assembly is expected to:</p>

<p><strong>Your Schedule</strong></p>
<p>This is a <strong>full-time, salaried position</strong> requiring approximately <strong>40 hours per week</strong>. The schedule includes <strong>weekday planning, prayer meetings, Sunday services, and flexibility for special intercessory events and ministry needs</strong>.</p>
