About This Role

The College Pastor is responsible for ensuring all aspects of spiritual growth and development of college-aged students who attend House of Mercy Christian Assembly. This includes leadership for all programming, teaching, events, and management in support of the overall vision, mission, and purpose of the church. The College Pastor also expands the reach of our college ministry by creating new initiatives, in new places, to reach new students for Christ.

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks of the College Pastor

1. Plan and execute biblically accurate and culturally relevant
2. Create a calendar that will encompass all of the programming needs of the college ministry to fulfill all spiritual development and outreach goals.
3. Have a weekly presence on college campuses surrounding House of Mercy Christian Assembly
4. Create a strategic plan to reach out to, engage, and collaborate with each college
5. Recruit, develop and empower student and adult leaders to lead campus
6. Develop a student leadership team that creates opportunities for college-aged individuals to learn about Jesus, build community, and live out their
7. Collaborate with student leaders to develop and implement a plan for relational evangelism on college
8. Lead a weekly large group gathering and serve as the primary
9. Meet with student leaders on a regular basis to provide guidance and
10. Create opportunities for students to grow and serve experientially through local and international mission trips, community service projects, etc.
11. Build bridges between college life and the overall life of House of Mercy Christian Assembly, creating a pipeline of young leaders who can step into

Your Team

 This position reports to the Senior Pastor.

This position relates to other pastoral staff of House of Mercy Christian Assembly and oversees all student and staff campus ministry leaders.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, salaried position around 45 hours a week, with four days spent in the office and one day of flexible working location. You may travel 15-25 nights a year for retreats, conferences, and other campus ministry events

About This Role

 The Community Pastor is responsible for the oversight of the pastoral care, community, and discipleship ministries of House of Mercy Christian Assembly. This role establishes and executes program visions, mentors small group leaders, and coordinates discipleship strategies for various ministries. The Community Pastor also oversees the local missional aspects of church life, including the pastoral care of newcomers and new Christians, the development of activities, and the recruitment of volunteers.
